Schedule Updates on Twitter and Facebook with LaterBro

Posted by admin on May 11th, 2010

Some people make it a habit to update their Twitter account and/or Facebook status on a daily basis. But what happens when you are really busy and can’t make that happen? Well LaterBro is nice little tool that will take care of that problem for you. Plus, there’s no need to register with the site, you can use either Twitter OAuth or Facebook connect to log into your accounts. Also, “you can schedule recurring Facebook updates or schedule tweets from multiple Twitter accounts”.

Twitter

You’re probably aware that there are quite a few services out there that can do the Twitter scheduling for you. Well, LaterBro is just as nice as the rest.

  1. Connect your account via Twitter OAuth.
  2. Set your timezone.
  3. If you’d like to update more than 1 Twitter account at a time, you’ll need to go to settings to add it now.
  4. Enter your tweet. There is a character counter and integrated URL shortener.
  5. Enter or use the calendar to select the date that you’d like your tweet to post.
  6. Enter the time that you’d like your tweet to be posted. Don’t forget to specify am or pm. Forewarning, it uses military time.
  7. Click on “schedule”.

Facebook

Besides Hootsuite, I’m not aware of any other services that allow you to schedule Facebook posts. So, this is definitely a nice feature to have. It’s basically the same process as above with Twitter except you’ll need to select your Facebook account instead or you can have both selected to update at the same time. It would be nice to schedule Facebook fan page posts but right now that’s not an option. Also, as mentioned above, with Faceobok you have the option to make your post a recurrent one.

One feature I love about this site is that it shows you a list of your scheduled posts. I’m not sure if it will keep a list of your posted items, but being able to see the last 5-10 would be nice too. Also, you are allowed to edit already scheduled tweets before they go out if you need too. This is a great feature to have as well. I also love the dark colored theme of the site.

I don’t know about you but LaterBro is definitely a keeper in my book.
