December Monthly Report And Scope For 2008
Posted by Patrick on December 30th, 2007
I can’t believe how fast the last three months have past. PiggyBankPie is now 3 months old and I feel like I started this blog last week. December has been a great month for this site and for my guest blogging career. Before I tell you more about guest blogging, here’s the stats for December:
Revenues
- PiggyBankPie Writing Services: $80.00
- NeverBlueAds Affiliate Marketing: $70.25
- Google AdSense: $12.64
- Total Revenues for December: $162.89
As you can see, compared to November, revenues have more than doubled and this is mainly due to PiggyBankPie Writing Services that’s taking off.
Statistics
- Alexa Rank: 257,068
Rank in November: 490,264 - Compete Rank: 188,192
Rank in November: 411,553 - Technorati Rank: 93,462, Authority: 76
Rank in November: 121,630, Authority: 61 - Total Visitors: 17,021 (decrease explainable by the tremendous success of the off-topic post about the hummingbird in November)
Total for November: 20,304 - Total Pages View: 22,513
Total for October: 29,734
Other Stats
- Most Popular Post of the Month: Optimization: Kevin Rose VS Larry Page
- Most Popular Guest Post of the Month: Want To Drop One On Me?
- Most Commented Post of the Month (10 comments): Ever Stumbled Your Own Post?
Note: This is the second month in a row for Ever Stumbled Your Own Post? For some reason, the topic seems to be popular and readers like to comment on this post. Since this is exactly the point of blogging, I’m very happy about it.
Writers
5 authors, including myself, have contributed to write 19 posts in 31 days:

What’s ahead for 2008?
By closely monitoring the stats throughout December, I noticed significant traffic differences in the posts. When we publish more in-depth articles, we literally double the daily traffic. I don’t know if you have noticed, but a few bloggers, such as Maki at Dosh Dosh, have started publishing less frequently. However, the post they release are longer and provide a better analysis of their topics. This also helps readers that subscribe to many RSS feeds to follow the flow of posts.
Since the reaction seemed positive to more in-depth posts, I will try to take this habit from now on. Also, I will continue to promote Guest Blogging because it clearly helps this blog to make its way in the blogosphere, while bringing good revenues. Don’t miss my next post because I will be telling you exactly what guest blogging and blogging collaboration has brought to PiggyBankPie for the month of December.
RSS Subscription
Did you know you could receive ALL articles written at PiggyBankPie either by email or using an RSS reader? If you are not familiar with RSS readers, I strongly recommend you subscribe by email. Also, by simply registering to the PiggyBankPie community, you help this site to increase its presence in the blog community. Please note that your subscription will NEVER be used to send unsolicited emails.
Finally, thanks to the writers who’ve help me write great content throughout the month, and most of all, thanks to you, the readers, for being part of PiggyBankPie’s community… and Happy New Year!
