8 Ways To Reach BloggingZoom’s Front Page
Posted by Patrick on January 11th, 2008
BloggingZoom is becoming THE place for bloggers to promote their own content. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the boat. If you haven’t start submitting your work to BloggingZoom yet, you are wasting good opportunities to gain RSS subscribers.
For those familiar with BZ, if you are hoping to make your way up to the top, I can give you some tips that will surely help you to get zoomed. So far I’ve hit the front page twice going up to the very first position, and then a second position a few days later.
Here’s a few tips that will give you a edge if you want to reach the summit:
1. Add An Image (avatar) To Your Profile![]()
Try to help Zoomers to recognize you. I’ve said it in previous articles, I discovered very good content on BZ and became an RSS subscriber to a great deal of blogs. For instance, every time I see Seo-Design Solutions’ avatar, I stop scrolling and read. Why? Simply Because I like his content. Since Seo-Design Solutions has an avatar, I can spot his submissions and chances are I will be zooming his post. Help readers to recognize you by adding an avatar to your profile, this will surely help.
2. Remove Your Blog’s Name From Your submissions Title
I have to say, this is annoying. The title of your post is an attention grabber. Its job is to capture readers’ attention, which is the very first step in your quest to the top. When submitting a post, pay attention at the Story Title in Step 2 and make sure to remove your blog’s name.
3. Use Short Titles
Many bloggers have discussed this subject already. Your title is your best selling tool, use it wisely. If possible, try to use small to mediums titles. Just try it out, go to www.bloggingzoom.com and scroll the page rapidly, which titles get your attention first? Shorter ones. I can understand that it is not always possible, but when writing a zoombait, try using smaller ones.
4. Blog About BloggingZoom
Just like many communities, active members of BloggingZoom like to read content about them. Help them to succeed by telling them how to grow traffic with tips that would improve their BZ experience. This will benefit to the whole BZ community, and zoomers will recognize you as a BloggingZoom promoter.
5. Blog About John chow
If you promote content that talks about the dot Com Mogul, you are in business for serious zooming. At least, many people will read your submission’s description. Now which camp will you’ll be taking? This will more than likely influence your ascension.
6. Blog About Vic or Blogger Unleashed
Vic, the Blogger unleashed, is BZ’s Kevin Rose. Promoting his content or blogging about him sure makes a popular submission. I got to say, I’ve subscribed to his blog and he does write in-depth content. Is Adsense Basic post published on Jan 7th got me. When I read the title I thought… hum, Adsense Basic, I already know the basics, why should I read that? I tell you what, there is quite a lot of information in this article.
Note for Piggy Bank Pie Readers: If you are not familiar with Blogger Unleashed, just be ready before you hit the homepage. Vic’s blog contains awesome information on Making Money Online, however let’s just say that his writing is not for kids. That being said, he knows his stuff.
7. Post In The Blogging and Money Categories
A quick overview at the most popular submissions reveals that Blogging is clearly THE most viral category on BZ, followed by Money. If you are in the meta-blog niche or if you blog about how to make money online, you should definitely promote your content on BloggingZoom.
8. Use BloggingZoom Button WordPress Plugin
Readers jumping from BloggingZoom to your site might miss the opportunity to zoom your submissions. By using the BloggingZoom Button WordPress Plugin, you considerably increase chances of getting votes because it gives readers the opportunity to vote your stories without the need to go back to BZ. The installation is a piece of cake, visit this page to learn more.

I think those are pretty good tips, although, I’m not sure I want to see a hundred people writing about nothing but Vic and BloggingZoom (no offense Vic). I’ve had a lot of success writing about BloggingZoom and other blogging type subjects, but I’ve also had success with my regular old movie and television related content.
The idea, I think, is to make use of BloggingZoom to learn how to promote your blog on Google and then to make friends and network on BloggingZoom itself. I’ve met a lot of good people on BZ and found a LOT of really good blogs.
This is good advice, but don’t limit yourself to only trying to write to make the front page. Write good quality articles and submit ALL of them to BZ, and, if you have something to say, some of the articles will do really well.

I agree jclark. This article is the conclusion of observations I’ve made on BZ and also some personal tips I added to the post. Just by looking at the most popular posts so far on BZ clearly shows patterns such as Vic being quite a popular man.
I’m sure that bloggers who read this post will use the most practical tips for them and hopefully get better visibility on BZ.
Bottom line, nothing beats KILLER CONTENT. Write good articles and you’ll naturally get good visibility.
Thanks for dropping by and for taking the time to comment jclark.
