My Pick of The Week: Sept 30th to Oct 6th

callendar2.gifInternet Scams

The first thing I do in the morning is fire up my RSS reader to read what’s been said in the Blogosphere for the last 24 hours or so. While I cannot read everything that’s been published out there, I try to absorb a good chunk of the posts by obviously reading the big guys, but also smaller blogs where I often find very interesting content.

Starting now, at the end of each week I will be posting my favourite story of the week. I will not fully review that story, it’s been written already… I’m just going to share my thoughts, and link back to the post where you’ll find the full story.

This week, it’s two for the price of one:

  • My first ever pick goes to Mr. John Chow for its BloggingDosh - How To Destroy Your Reputation. If you’ve read my post Top 3 Must-Reads for New Bloggers you know that I’m not a big fan of Internet scams. I hate them. John Chow was recently spammed in his comments by someone who should have known that before spamming a scam to a site such as John Chow dot Com, one must be very careful. The Dot Com Mogul knows how to find who you are. Especially when the info is out there available to everyone.
  • While talking about Internet scams, there is also another story that caught my attention. This one goes to SEO expert Mr. Darin Carter for the post Desperate Bloggers Stealing Designs. A poor guy jumps in the Blogosphere with a replica of darin.cc’s WordPress theme. However, the guy’s theme has a bug (that I won’t mention), which works just fine on Darin’s site.
