Is Your Blog Easy To Read?

This question is one that all bloggers should ask themselves. Presenting your blog with continuity, smooth flow and ease of reading could be the difference between keeping your readers engaged and losing their interest. How may that be done? Consider the following points:
Be Consistent
Offering organized and well developed thoughts, throughout your blog, gives your post consistency and credibility. You have only a moment to grasp the readers’ attention initially and if they see no clear pattern to your article, they may surf right past your site to another, more interesting place. Your readers will be more apt to continue reading without getting discouraged if they see that the article has been thought out and has some continuity.
Don’t Ramble
Using complete sentences and expressing thoughts in a manner that can be easily comprehended are important if you want to be successful in communicating with your reader. Rambling sentences that don’t say anything will confuse your readers and probably frustrate them. If the post cannot be taken in with ease, it may be difficult to hold on to your readership. A nice flow of words and complete thoughts will offer the audience a comfortable reading experience.
Keep it Simple
You also should consider using simple sentences that do not require too much analysis. Think about how many people read the news on a daily basis. The news is written on about a third-grade reading level. News readers keep coming back because they don’t have to decipher what they are reading. Be careful not to overwhelm your reader with too many complex words. Whatever your subject, you want your audience to be able to understand the material and feel that they have received the information they were seeking without too much effort.
Now, go write!
It is time for you to put together that awesome blog post. You have some things to think about and some planning to do. Once you start, keep these things in mind:
- Be consistent
- Don’t ramble and keep it simple.
Being mindful of these points when composing your post will help you create a blog entry that your readers will appreciate and you may be proud of.

I try to follow the basic rules of blogging as much as I can (like the ones written above) and I guess it paid off.
It was quite heartening (and rather touching, really) when some people told me that they really like reading my blog. Some of the comments were that they felt like I was talking to them personally, that they could feel the emotion behind the words, and that they could relate to what I was saying because of the simple words I used.
I guess adding photos, adding appropriate emoticons and using rhetorical remarks really helped
