451Press.com is revenue sharing opportunity for writers online, more specifically bloggers. They are always looking for new bloggers to contribute to their growing network and get exposure. They have blog’s in a wide range of topics. You can blog about your city, your favorite Musicians, TV shows, celebrities and many other miscellanies categories such as astrology, parenting, etc… whatever your passion is. They do prefer you have some knowledge about what you will be writing about, so do not sign up to blog about cars if you are not passionate about cars. It will not make for a good blog, nor will you enjoy doing it.

The set up it pretty much the same as any other revenue sharing website. They handle things like getting advertisers for your blog, maintaining the blog and server. Knowing their full time staff is taking care of all that gives you the time to write about your interests and earn money. You will earn 40% of the ad revenue that your blog generates, so the more you write on 451press the more you could earn. If you have any questions, you can email them or stop by their office (if you live close by, address at end of article). You do not have to be an English major to sign up at 451Press, but you should at least know the basics of English and be able to write complete thoughts.

They have a ‘Job’ openings section, I am not sure if it is different from signing up to blog. The page that you fill out is the same for signing up as a bloggers and applying for a ‘Job’. However, there are plenty of openings either way. When applying, be prepared to copy and paste a writing sample to the application, they do not want any URL’s that will take them to a writing sample. Do not expect to get an instant reply. I ‘applied’ a long time ago and have not heard anything from them.

451Press offers a Business Blogging service, companies like Dell, General Motors, and IBM all have corporate blog’s that they update regularly. Giving them a web presence, this is almost necessary these days for businesses to keep up with the competition. In 2005, Business Week profiled corporate blog’s, at that time about 50% of the computer savvy professionals had even heard or thought to have a corporate blog. Now almost every company has a blog or website that will need updating. If you sign up at 451Press, you could end up writing for a corporate blog, which would give you great experience in the corporate blogging world. If your company needs a blog you might want check out there corporate blogging packages.

Many suggest blogging is not a fad and will not be going away. With anything, you sign up for make sure you read the Terms and Conditions and their Privacy Policy, just so you know what you are agreeing to when you click the “I agree” button.
